Thioglycolic Acid, also known as TGA, is a chemical compound commonly used in hair care products, particularly in hair perming and straightening treatments. It works by breaking the disulfide bonds in hair proteins, allowing the hair to be reshaped. This compound is also used in depilatory creams to remove unwanted hair by weakening the hair structure.
