    Glossary Hyperproliferation

    rapid and excessive cell growth

Hyperproliferation refers to the rapid and excessive growth of cells. In the context of hair and skin, it often describes conditions where skin cells or hair follicles multiply too quickly, leading to issues like psoriasis or certain types of alopecia. This abnormal cell growth can disrupt normal tissue function and lead to various health problems.
