    A chronic disease, also known as a chronic illness or long-term disease, is a medical condition that persists for a long duration, typically longer than three months, and often requires ongoing medical attention or limits daily activities. Examples include diabetes, heart disease, and chronic respiratory conditions. These diseases can be managed but are usually not curable, necessitating continuous care and lifestyle adjustments to improve quality of life and prevent complications.
