research Patent Evaluation: Hexahydrobenzo[f]quinolines as 5α-reductase inhibitors
This study reports that novel hexahydrobenzoquinolin compounds fully inhibited 5α-reductase activity in human genital skin fibroblasts, suggesting their potential for treating conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia and male pattern baldness.
research Tuning Scaffold Properties of New 1,4-Substituted Pyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline Derivatives Endowed with Anticancer Potential, New Biological and In Silico Insights
In this study, the synthesis and testing of new pyrroloquinoline derivatives identified compound 7p, which showed low micromolar cytotoxic activity against MCF-7 and HeLa cells, highlighting its potential for development into a potent anticancer agent.
research Synthesis and 5α-reductase inhibitory activity of 8-substituted benzo[ƒ]quinolinones derived from palladium mediated coupling reactions
This study explored how modifying the 8-substituent of 8-bromobenzoquinolinone affects its selectivity in inhibiting both 5 alpha-reductase isozymes in the scalp.
