Glossary Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentration of platelets derived from a small sample of the patient's own blood. These platelets are rich in growth factors that can promote healing and tissue regeneration. PRP is commonly used in medical treatments, including hair restoration for conditions like alopecia, where it is injected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth.
