    GlossaryMalignancies

abnormal cell growths that invade and spread, causing cancer

Malignancies, also known as malignant tumors or malignant neoplasms, are abnormal growths of cells that have the potential to invade and destroy surrounding tissues and spread to other parts of the body (metastasize). Unlike benign tumors, which are non-cancerous and do not spread, malignancies are cancerous and can be life-threatening if not treated promptly.

Key treatments for hair preservation include minoxidil, finasteride/dutasteride, and microneedling, with additional options like specific shampoos, oils, biotin, zinc, tretinoin, clascoterone, and low-level laser therapy. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, reducing stress, and addressing nutrient deficiencies can also support hair health.
