October 2023 in “RECIMA21 - Revista Científica Multidisciplinar - ISSN 2675-6218” Alopecia androgenética (AAG) is a chronic hair loss condition affecting both men and women, with significant psychological impacts on women due to cultural associations of hair with beauty. This condition can lead to decreased self-esteem and mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Various treatments exist, including topical and injectable Minoxidil, oral Finasteride, low-intensity laser therapy, hormonal therapies, nutraceuticals, PRP, and exosomes, but they often have side effects, limited efficacy, or financial inaccessibility. Understanding the causes and psychological effects of AAG is crucial for developing more effective and holistic treatment approaches to improve quality of life. The study aims to better understand AAG, its impact on women's self-esteem, and review treatment techniques, considering potential combinations for improved outcomes.
