    Premature Ovarian Failure (POF), also known as Primary Ovarian Insufficiency, is a condition where a woman's ovaries stop functioning normally before the age of 40. This leads to reduced production of estrogen and other hormones, causing irregular or absent menstrual periods, infertility, and symptoms similar to menopause, such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness.
