    Long QT Syndrome (LQTS) is a heart rhythm disorder that can cause fast, chaotic heartbeats, potentially leading to fainting, seizures, or sudden death. It is characterized by an abnormally prolonged QT interval on an electrocardiogram (ECG), which indicates delayed repolarization of the heart after a heartbeat. This condition can be inherited or acquired and may be triggered by certain medications, electrolyte imbalances, or other medical conditions.
