    Itraconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat a variety of fungal infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting their growth and replication. Commonly known by the brand name Sporanox, it is available in various forms, including capsules and oral solutions.
