laboratory technique detecting molecules using antibodies

An immunoassay is a laboratory technique used to detect and measure specific proteins, hormones, or other molecules in a sample by using antibodies. This method relies on the highly specific binding between an antigen (the target molecule) and an antibody, making it a powerful tool for diagnosing diseases, monitoring biological processes, and conducting research in fields like immunology and biochemistry.
