Oral Hairy Leukoplakia (OHL) is a condition characterized by white, hairy-looking patches on the sides of the tongue. It is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and is often seen in individuals with weakened immune systems, such as those with HIV/AIDS. The condition is generally benign but can be an indicator of underlying immunosuppression.
