measures internal consistency of a set of test items

Cronbach's alpha, also known as the alpha coefficient, is a measure of internal consistency or reliability of a set of scale or test items. It assesses how closely related a set of items are as a group, indicating the extent to which they measure the same underlying concept. A higher Cronbach's alpha value (typically above 0.7) suggests that the items have relatively high internal consistency.
