    Actinic Keratosis (AK), also known as Solar Keratosis, is a rough, scaly patch on the skin caused by years of exposure to the sun. It is considered a precancerous condition because it can potentially develop into squamous cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer. Early detection and treatment are important to prevent progression.
