TLDR MPA patients have lower zinc and manganese, higher copper, and similar iron levels in hair compared to healthy men.
This study analyzed the levels of zinc, copper, iron, and manganese in the hair of MPA patients compared to 38 healthy men using FAAS. It found that MPA patients had significantly lower levels of zinc and manganese, and higher levels of copper in their hair compared to healthy men, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in iron levels between the two groups (P > 0.05). These findings contributed to understanding the potential causes and treatment of MPA.
