TLDR Xinyang Tablet improves heart function in sepsis by reducing inflammation.
The study investigates the effects of Xinyang Tablet (XYT) on sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction (SIMD) using a mouse model. It demonstrates that XYT improves cardiac function and reduces inflammation by promoting M2 macrophage polarization and regulating autophagy through the modulation of Beclin-1 and targeting E3 ubiquitin ligase TRAF6 via LncSICRNT1. XYT treatment resulted in increased anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10, IL-4) and decreased pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β), enhancing cardiac function. The study involved 6 mice per group and suggests that XYT could be a promising therapeutic approach for SIMD, with effects comparable to traditional treatments like digoxin. However, the study notes a limitation as the mechanism was only explored at the animal and cellular levels, indicating a need for further research in SIMD patients.
