Technological advancements have significantly transformed vascular surgery, particularly through improvements in imaging and data processing, enabling more complex endovascular and hybrid operations. Augmented reality (AR) is gaining interest in surgery, enhancing clinicians' understanding of 3D anatomy and aiding real-time information processing. AR contributes to the advancement of vascular and endovascular surgery by reducing patient risk, shortening operation times, and minimizing side effects from contrast and radiation exposure. Continued research is necessary to overcome current limitations, such as processing capabilities and blood vessel deformation by instruments, to further develop this technology.
