The study presented a method for estimating vancomycin using modified silver nanoparticles, which was applied to various pharmaceutical preparations. Vancomycin acted as a reducing agent, converting silver nitrate to silver nanoparticles, with polyvinylpyrrolidone as a stabilizer. The method demonstrated high sensitivity and accuracy, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9987 and a standard deviation of 0.402%. The absorption peak was at 440 nm, and the method adhered to the Beer-Lambert Law within a concentration range of 2.5-70 ppm. The study also explored the biological effects on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, showing promising results.
