Development and Validation of New UV-Visible Spectrophotometric Method for the Estimation of Minoxidil in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Dosage Form

    TLDR A new accurate and cost-effective method was developed to measure Minoxidil in different forms.
    The study developed and validated a simple, precise, and cost-effective UV-visible spectrophotometric method for estimating Minoxidil in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. The method demonstrated high accuracy with recovery results ranging from 99.57% to 100.55% and a correlation coefficient of 0.9993. The limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were 5.08 μg/ml and 15.38 μg/ml, respectively. The method was validated for linearity, accuracy, precision, ruggedness, and robustness, proving to be economical and effective for determining Minoxidil in various formulations.
