TLDR CLASI is a valid tool for assessing skin activity and damage in lupus patients.
The study validated the Cutaneous Lupus Disease Area and Severity Index (CLASI) by showing significant correlations with physician-assessed disease activity and damage measures, as well as patient-reported quality of life and body image assessments, using data from 31 patients with cutaneous lupus erythematosus. The findings supported the CLASI as a reliable tool for assessing cutaneous lupus erythematosus, despite the small sample size.
