Study the Effect of Aqueous and Alcoholic Extracts of Trigonella Foenum-Graecum L and Some Antibiotics Against Bacterial Species Isolated from Acne Vulgaris Infections in Sumer University Students

This review reports that Fenugreek seeds contain compounds like Galactomannan and Trigonelline, which show anti-diabetic and anti-hyperlipidemic effects, while Fenugreek leaves have high saponin content, contributing to their anti-microbial activities.

This review highlights that Fenugreek seeds and leaves contain different bioactive compounds, with seeds showing anti-diabetic and anti-hyperlipidemic effects and leaves exhibiting strong anti-microbial properties. Both parts also provide anti-inflammatory benefits and support hair health, underscoring the potential for optimized therapeutic applications from Trigonella foenum-graecum.

This study found that hydroalcoholic extracts of Trigonella foenum-graecum L. seeds were rich in bioactive phytochemicals and demonstrated potential therapeutic properties against dandruff, alopecia, and oxidative stress through molecular docking analysis of key constituents such as diosgenin, kaempferol, and quercetin.
