TLDR Upadacitinib may effectively treat alopecia areata without side effects.
This case series reports on the use of Upadacitinib, a Janus kinase inhibitor, for treating alopecia areata in five patients with different backgrounds and varying severity of the condition. All patients had previously undergone conventional therapy without success. They were administered 15 mg of Upadacitinib once daily and all achieved satisfactory results without any adverse events during the treatment period. This suggests that Upadacitinib may be a promising therapeutic option for alopecia areata.
