TLDR Four children had unmanageable pale blond hair due to uncombable-hair syndrome.
Four children exhibited short, unmanageable, pale blond hair without any associated abnormalities or family histories of abnormal hair. Light microscopy was normal in three patients, while one had piii torti. Electron microscopy of hair from all four children showed longitudinal grooves in the hair shaft, which was diagnostic of uncombable-hair syndrome.
