Trilostane Treatment of a Dog with Functional Adrenocortical Neoplasia

    J. M. Eastwood, Clive Elwood, Karyl J. Hurley
TLDR Trilostane helped a dog with an adrenal tumor feel better and stay healthy.
A 13-year-old crossbreed dog with hyperadrenocorticism (HAC) due to a calcified adrenal mass was treated with trilostane after the owners declined surgery. The dog showed rapid clinical improvement and normalization of serum chemistry. ACTH stimulation tests guided dose adjustments, and after 80 weeks of treatment, the dog remained well with no adverse side effects.
