    The document reviewed the advancements in trichoscopy, a non-invasive dermatoscopic examination of the hair and scalp, which had become increasingly popular due to its wide range of applications and ease of use. Trichoscopy was particularly valuable in diagnosing and monitoring various hair and scalp conditions, including alopecias, inflammatory and infectious scalp diseases, and hair shaft disorders. The authors discussed the current knowledge of trichoscopic structures and their applicability in diagnosing clinical entities with well-defined trichoscopic criteria.
