Trachyonychia in a Child with Concomitant Alopecia Areata and Lichen Planus

    TLDR A boy's hair, nails, and skin improved after 6 months of steroid treatment.
    An 8-year-old boy with trachyonychia, lichen planus, and alopecia areata was successfully treated with biweekly pulse systemic corticosteroid therapy over 6 months. The treatment led to significant hair regrowth, improved nail texture and thickness, reduced subungual hyperkeratosis, and resolution of skin lesions.
