TLDR Topical minoxidil improves life quality for women with hair loss.
The study surveyed 125 female patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) to assess the impact of topical minoxidil on their quality of life (QOL). Using the visual analog scale (VAS) and dermatology life quality index (DLQI), the study found that AGA severity negatively affected QOL. After 12 months of minoxidil treatment, 31 patients showed significant improvements in both VAS and DLQI scores, indicating enhanced QOL. The study concluded that topical minoxidil improved the QOL in female AGA patients, although the improvement was not linked to the therapeutic efficiency of the treatment.
