TLDR Combining different treatments may be needed to effectively manage chronic prostatitis.
The document reviewed treatments for chronic prostatitis, emphasizing the condition's multifactorial nature and the varied effectiveness of therapies. Antibiotics like ciprofloxacin were used, but their success was not linked to culture results or inflammation. Alpha-blockers, anti-inflammatory drugs, and phytotherapy, such as quercetin, were also explored. Prostatic massage, intraprostatic injections, and biofeedback therapy showed potential benefits. The studies suggested that combining therapies might be necessary for effective management due to significant individual response variations.
