    Adiantum capillus-veneris, known as Maidenhair fern, is a medicinal plant used in Unani medicine for various ailments, including kidney stones, diabetes, and respiratory issues. It has a rich phytochemical profile with triterpenoids and flavonoids, contributing to its antioxidant, antimicrobial, antifungal, antidiabetic, and anti-obesity properties. Notably, it is used for hair-related conditions like alopecia and dandruff. Despite its therapeutic potential, it is contraindicated during pregnancy due to its anti-implantation effect. The review highlights the need for further research to validate its medicinal applications.
