This five-year retrospective study in the United Arab Emirates (2018-2022) analyzes syphilis epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and associated infections. It reveals a significant increase in syphilis frequency in 2020, with consistent active infection rates. Clinical manifestations like alopecia syphilitica and co-infections with HIV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and HPV showed dynamic patterns, while HBV and HCV remained stable. Despite commendable treatment rates, re-infection rates rose in 2021, highlighting the need for ongoing vigilance. The study emphasizes the importance of sustained prevention and treatment efforts to manage syphilis and its co-infections effectively.
