FUT allows for the extraction of more follicular units in one procedure but is more invasive and can leave a linear scar, while FUE is less invasive, leaves no visible scars, but is time-consuming and extracts fewer units per session. The study highlights innovative approaches like laser therapy and robotic systems that enhance procedure accuracy and outcomes. It concludes that adherence to transplantation guidelines can lead to high patient satisfaction, and the findings serve as a valuable resource for transplant surgeons in tailoring treatment strategies to individual patient needs, ultimately improving clinical outcomes for those with alopecia.
