A 10-year-old male Maltese dog with bilateral cryptorchidism was presented with a mass in the left inguinal region, hair loss, and other symptoms. The dog was diagnosed with a Sertoli cell tumor after surgical removal and histopathological examination of the testicles. Despite postoperative treatments including blood transfusions and antibiotics, the dog developed complications such as bloody diarrhea and anemia, and died two days after surgery. The study suggested that hormonal determination and blood transfusion should be considered before castration or other operations if blood cell counts are abnormal.
