TLDR The supplements improved hair density and reduced hair loss.
A double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical study investigated the effects of oral supplementation with L-Cystine, Serenoa repens, Pumpkin seed oil, and Pygeum africanum on Chronic Telogen Effluvium and Androgenetic Alopecia. The study included 200 participants and found that those who received the supplementation showed significant improvement in hair density and reduction in hair loss compared to the placebo group. The results suggest that these supplements can be beneficial in managing hair loss conditions, potentially due to their role in addressing dietary insufficiencies of essential micronutrients.
