TLDR The SULT1A1 enzyme booster improves minoxidil effectiveness in treating hair loss, especially in females.
This study investigated the use of a SULT1A1 enzyme booster to enhance the effectiveness of topical minoxidil in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) among non-responders. A total of 101 AGA patients who did not previously respond to 5% topical minoxidil were treated with a combination of the SULT1A1 adjuvant solution and minoxidil for 90 days. Results showed that 65% of the participants experienced a positive response to the combination therapy. The study found a significantly higher positive response in females compared to males, while age did not significantly affect outcomes. The findings suggest that the SULT1A1 enzyme booster can improve minoxidil response in AGA patients, offering a potential advancement in treatment strategies.
