TLDR A 9-year-old boy had a calcium deposit nodule on his earlobe.
A 9-year-old Korean boy presented with a 5 mm erythematous nodule on his right earlobe, which had been pruritic for 6 months. The nodule was found to be a subepidermal calcified nodule, confirmed by histopathologic examination and Von Kossa stain, which showed calcified material surrounded by lymphocytes and histiocytes. The surrounding dermis contained numerous well-differentiated hair follicles with thick fibrous root sheaths and sebaceous glands. The boy's serum calcium and phosphorus levels were normal, and there was no history of trauma or significant medical or family history.
