Frequency of Skin Manifestations in Patients on Chemotherapy

    The study aimed to determine the frequency of skin manifestations in 170 chemotherapy patients at Jinnah Hospital Lahore. The results showed that 31.2% had no skin manifestations, 34.9% had one, 23.5% had two, and 9.4% had three. The most common skin manifestations were alopecia (54.7%), mucositis (27.6%), and dry skin (12.4%). Age and gender did not significantly impact the number of skin manifestations. The study concluded that cutaneous symptoms are common in chemotherapy patients, with alopecia, mucositis, and xerosis being the most typical.
