TLDR The skin care product prevents and removes pollen allergens from the skin.
The document discusses a study that tested the effectiveness of a skin care product in preventing and cleansing pollen allergen accumulation in the hair follicle. The study used explants from a hairy abdominoplasty and applied a recombinant allergen to mimic pollen allergen deposit onto the skin. The skin care product was found to completely prevent allergen accumulation when applied prior to allergen exposure. Additionally, the product was able to remove 83% of accumulated allergens when used as a cleanser. The study concluded that the skin care product has a dual protective and cleansing effect against environmental airborne elements, potentially preventing sensitization processes.
