TLDR Ostrich antibodies are a promising, cost-effective treatment for various skin diseases and conditions.
The review and case report discussed the development and application of ostrich antibodies for treating skin diseases, highlighting their cost-effectiveness, stability, and potential in treating conditions like pollen allergies, atopic dermatitis, and acne. Ostrich antibodies suppressed allergic reactions, inhibited the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes, and reduced symptoms by inactivating toxins and enzymes. In a study with four dogs suffering from MRSA-induced pyoderma, three showed significant improvement. Additionally, initial tests indicated potential hair regrowth in androgenic alopecia, suggesting ostrich antibodies as a promising alternative to traditional treatments without disrupting resident microflora.
