TLDR Ostrich antibodies helped regrow hair in men with hair loss, but the application needs to be easier.
The study involved six male volunteers with androgenic alopecia (AGA), who used a hair conditioner containing ostrich antibodies (IgY) against dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and 5α-reductase daily for three months. All participants experienced hair regrowth, with satisfaction levels corresponding to the perceived hair growth. However, the application process was found to be complex and inconvenient. The study concluded that ostrich IgY effectively promotes hair regrowth in AGA cases, but a more user-friendly application method is needed, along with further testing in larger, more diverse study groups.
