Design, Synthesis, and Optimization of Silver Nanoparticles Using an Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lam. Leaf Extract and Its Antibacterial Application

This study successfully synthesized silver nanoparticles (AHAgNPs) using a green method with an Artocarpus heterophyllus leaf extract. The synthesis process was optimized using Design Expert Ver. 13, focusing on variables like concentration, particle size, and entrapment efficiency. Characterization techniques such as ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy confirmed that the nanoparticles were spherical with an average diameter of 100–110 nm. The AHAgNPs demonstrated significant antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal activities, indicating enhanced biological properties.
