TLDR Early diagnosis and management of Sheehan's syndrome are crucial for improving quality of life and fertility.
This case report discusses a 35-year-old female diagnosed with Sheehan's syndrome (SS) in 2016, following severe postpartum hemorrhage in 2013. SS, a rare endocrine disorder, led to multiple hormonal deficiencies and symptoms such as hair loss, amenorrhea, and fatigue, which were initially misattributed to postpartum depression, delaying diagnosis and treatment. Comprehensive endocrine evaluation confirmed the diagnosis, and she was started on lifelong hormone replacement therapy. Despite treatment, she experienced persistent symptoms and required frequent hormone dose adjustments. The case underscores the importance of early diagnosis and management of SS to improve quality of life and fertility, highlighting the need for awareness, early screening, and multidisciplinary collaboration among healthcare providers.
