Prevalence of Seborrheic Dermatitis in the Dermatology and Venereology Clinic at Meuraxa Hospital, Banda Aceh City, 2016-2019

TLDR Seborrheic dermatitis was most common in late adults and toddlers from 2016 to 2019.
The study was a descriptive, retrospective analysis of seborrheic dermatitis cases at the Dermatology and Venereology Clinic of RSUD Meuraxa in Banda Aceh from 2016 to 2019. It used secondary data from patient medical records. In 2016, there were 61 male (46.9%) and 69 female (53.1%) patients; in 2017, 72 male (49.7%) and 73 female (50.3%); in 2018, 85 male (64.4%) and 47 female (35.6%); and in 2019, 48 male (77.4%) and 14 female (22.6%). The highest prevalence in 2016 was among late adults (36-45 years) with 45 patients (34.6%), in 2017 among toddlers and late adults each with 36 patients (24.8%), in 2018 among late adults with 41 patients (31.1%), and in 2019 among toddlers with 19 patients (30.6%).
