The study investigated the effects of hair dyeing on hair loss and scalp health, focusing on the use of a scalp toner containing sea cucumber extract. Interviews were conducted with 150 individuals in Seoul who frequently dyed their hair, and hair loss was measured in 15 participants before and after dyeing. Results showed an increase in hair loss from an average of 53 hairs before dyeing to 74.9 hairs after dyeing. However, the use of the sea cucumber extract toner reduced hair loss to an average of 51 hairs. The study concluded that sea cucumber extract was effective in preventing hair loss and improving scalp condition.

However, after contracting Covid three times back to back at the start of 2021, he started to lose his hair again. He found a new dermatologist who prescribed him oral minoxidil along with finasteride, but eventually decided it wasn't worth spending all the money to try and save his hair.
