TLDR Natural remedies can effectively reduce dandruff.
The study aimed to establish and evaluate a cosmetic phytotherapy program for mild seborrheic dermatitis, commonly known as dandruff, using natural remedies. A 39-year-old male with a mild form of seborrheic dermatitis participated in the study. The individual program included 10 manual hair massage procedures with jojoba and patchouli essential oils, hair rinsing with an aqueous extract rich in salicylic acid, and weekly masks using equisetum arvense herb powder paste. The evaluation of the scalp condition before and after the treatment cycle showed positive effects, indicating the potential effectiveness of the phytotherapy procedures in reducing dandruff.
