The study focused on the development of a 3D printed scaffold, loaded with SB216763 and made from copper-doped bioglass and chitosan, to promote wound healing and functional skin regeneration. The scaffold's physical properties were enhanced by the addition of copper-doped bioglass (Cu-BG), which also released copper ions that demonstrated antibacterial effects and promoted blood vessel growth. The SB216763 loaded on the scaffold was found to stimulate the Wnt signaling pathway, crucial for the development of new hair follicles. The scaffold's effectiveness was tested both in vitro and in vivo using a rat model with a back wound defect. The results showed that the scaffold promoted wound healing, angiogenesis, protein expression, and hair follicle growth.
