Safety of <scp>Platelet‐Rich</scp> Plasma Subepithelial Infusion for Vocal Fold Scar, Sulcus, and Atrophy

    This study aimed to evaluate the safety of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections for treating vocal fold scarring and atrophy. Twelve patients received four subepithelial PRP injections, with no significant adverse events or complications reported. The study found statistically significant improvements in patient-reported outcomes, including vocal quality and fatigue, at a 3-month follow-up. All nine patients who completed the treatment series expressed satisfaction with the results. The study concluded that PRP injections had a favorable safety profile, but further research was needed to clinically correlate the subjective improvements observed.
