TLDR High doses of rosemary extract can harm the liver, kidneys, and reproductive organs in young rats.
The study investigates the histological effects of rosemary extract on internal organs of young male albino rats. The findings suggest that rosemary extract has protective properties against various forms of organ toxicity and injury. Specifically, it was observed to mitigate cardiac toxicity, liver toxicity, and oxidative stress in male rats. Additionally, rosemary extract showed potential in modulating the ACE2/ACE ratio, which is significant for cardiac health. The study supports the therapeutic potential of rosemary extract in protecting internal organs from damage.
