The Effect of Rosehip Extracts Addition on Permanent Wave and Hair Dye During Repetition Procedure

The study explored the addition of 15% and 20% rosehip extract to permanent wave solutions to reduce hair damage and enhance wave effectiveness. Results showed that rosehip extract improved wave efficiency, hair thickness, and color vibrancy, especially in thioglycolate-treated hair. The highest amino acid composition was found in hair treated with 20% rosehip extract. Despite these positive outcomes, the study noted limitations due to variations in hair strand thickness and location, suggesting the need for further clinical tests on diverse hair types to confirm the benefits of rosehip extract in hair treatments.
