    Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) was identified as a prevalent metabolic and endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age, characterized by symptoms such as irregular menstrual cycles, excessive hair growth, acne, and obesity. The condition was also linked to infertility and was notably prevalent in India. Early diagnosis and management, including weight loss, were emphasized as crucial for reducing the risk of long-term complications associated with PCOS.
