TLDR Malignant eye tumors produce more silver nanoparticles than benign ones.
The study focused on developing a nanobiotechnological method for the rapid diagnosis of malignant and benign tumors of the eye adnexa by utilizing the biogenic synthesis of silver nanoparticles. Tumor samples and healthy tissues were exposed to a silver salt solution, and their reducing activity was measured through nanoparticle synthesis. Results showed that malignant tumors had a higher level of biogenic silver nanoparticle formation (3.8±0.5) compared to benign tumors (2.2±0.4). This method aimed to optimize surgical treatment strategies, with further research needed to refine the understanding of different tumor types' restorative activities.
